FW removed from support.dell.com

I work for a reseller and am constantly pulling the latest firmware updates from support.dell.com for PowerVault arrays-

Version 08.20.05.60 was released earlier this year, version 08.20.08.60 was released second week of April. Since then, all 08.xx.xx.xx firmware updates have been removed from support.dell.com. I noticed the 08.05.20.60 is still on ftp.dell.com for download. But the latest available version on support.dell.com is now: 07.84.56.60. Is there a problem with the 08.xx.xx.xx firmware versions? I have updated several units to this version over the last few weeks and they are now in production at client sites.........

I discovered the above after this today: Had an MD3260 running optimal, no configuration present, 60x 3TB NL SAS drives, all certified Dell drives. Had 07.84.56.60 FW installed, I updated to 08.20.02.60. Once activated, the array reported "Drawer 2 failed" "Removal allowed" "call your customer service representative and tell them a drawer failure has occurred." I wasn't buying the error, nothing had been done other than the FW update. So I downgraded back to the 07.xx.xx.xx FW, the error cleared but the warning light remained on drawer 2. MDSM reported the array optimal. I powercycled the array, no change, ran clear config all, no change. Error light remained on. Removed power and brought back up. Error light clear. All seems will with the array now.

Is it safe to say that there are serious problems with the 08 firmware versions?

Why were the 08. versions removed?
